I was asked by On Being to be a part of their animated Poetry Films series, which features animated interpretations of beloved poems from their archive.

On Being

I used a range of scanned textures and brushes, mixed with the sharp nature of vector shapes, to give Rumi's "The World" a balance of hand and computer creation.

We are taken on a journey, understanding Rumi’s teachings through the actions and choices of our central character. We gather how Rumi’s words are just as applicable in our lives today, as they were in the 13th-century.
